Kids Fresh Water Fishing

This event introduces kids to fishing, pond and wetland ecosystems, and how fishing helps us understand the landscape. Come ready to get wet, wade into the ponds, learn to tie knots, and identify the fish, insects, and other critters around us.

Participants will leave with new skills and a fish field guide to keep exploring (limit 1 per household). This is a catch-and-release event. Some poles will be available, but feel free to bring your own. Fly and bobber fishing welcome. No watercraft allowed. Fishing at GJF is limited to participants 16 and under. Those 16+ are welcome to attend and share their knowledge.
